The foundations of Attorney at Law office were laid by Jana David (formerly Vyšanská) and Ladislav Majer as early as 1997, when their cooperation began. In 2001, they jointly established the Attorney at Law office Advokátní kancelář Vyšanská, Majer a spol., which was later transformed into Advokátní kancelář Vyšanská, Majer s.r.o.

From the very beginning, they built on a personal approach, strong commitment and responsibility towards clients. These values have enabled the office to grow into a stable team of lawyers which today provides professional, practical and comprehensible legal advice across the main areas of law.

We combine long-standing experience with an active and flexible approach. Each matter is handled individually, with an emphasis on discretion, expertise and the client’s actual needs. Our goal is to be a reliable partner to our clients, able not only to assess the legal aspects of a matter, but also to propose solutions that are applicable in practice.

One of the office’s specific strengths is its knowledge of English and Hebrew, which enables it to provide specialised legal services also to demanding international clients. Thanks to our cooperation with experts in taxation, finance, real estate and other fields, we are able to provide comprehensive support even in projects that go beyond a purely legal framework.

In view of the expansion in the number of partners, from 2026 our office continues its existing history under the new name AKVM LEGAL s.r.o., which better reflects its international reach, current direction and long-term cooperation with foreign clients, while at the same time preserving the already established AKVM brand on the market, derived from the original names of the founders of our office.

Key areas of legal services

We provide legal services to individuals and businesses alike. Drawing on specialist expertise and an individual approach, we propose effective solutions, protect our clients' interests and help them confidently navigate legal challenges in their personal and professional lives.

We advise on all aspects of commercial and company law across all corporate forms, including incorporations, changes to corporate structures, and the arrangement of shareholder and partnership relations. We act on mergers, acquisitions, M&A transactions and business disposals, and provide comprehensive legal due diligence services.

Real Estate Law is one of the principal areas of our practice. We assist clients across the full spectrum of property transactions — from legal due diligence and financing through to acquisition and project delivery and the sale or letting of residential and commercial premises. We also handle planning and construction law matters, including all related regulatory proceedings.

We advise across a broad range of Civil Law matters, including contractual obligations, debt recovery and property-related legal issues. We draft agreements and represent clients in civil litigation before the courts.

Family Law is a further area of our practice. We advise clients on divorce and arrangements relating to minor children, prepare pre-nuptial agreements, and act on the settlement of matrimonial property and co-ownership arrangements.

We assist clients in planning the transfer of assets across generations — advising on wills, other testamentary dispositions and broader succession strategies. We help put in place appropriate legal arrangements for the future, and where the need arises, we guide both clients and their families through the complexities of probate and the administration of estates.

We represent clients before the courts and in arbitral proceedings. Alongside an extensive commercial disputes practice, we act in civil and criminal matters, as well as in administrative proceedings, including tax and regulatory enforcement.
